Information for visitors:
Visitors are requested not to stray from the sightseeing route during the tour of the chateau, nor to walk far from the guide and to follow his/her instructions. It is forbidden to touch the objects on display, draw on walls or damage the monument building in any other way.
All visitors to the State chateau of Hluboká nad Vltavou are obliged to observe Rules for Visitors
Taking photos, camcorders
Taking photographs and recording on the video is allowed in the exteriors only. In the interiors of the chateau, taking photographs and video recording is prohibited.
Pets
Visitors are not allowed to enter the installed interiors of the chateau with animals.
Access for wheelchairs
Only the chash-office, chapel, Kitchen, Winter visitor´s route and the first half of the Private apartmentsare accessible for visitors in wheelchairs
(except Princess Hilda’s apartments).
Representation halls can only be visited with the help of another person, at the beginning and at the end, it is necessary to climb and descend along 32 low steps.
Transportation
Visitors can easily get to the chateau of Hluboká by public transport – especially buses. On weekdays, buses leave the bus station in České Budějovice for Hluboká nad Vltavou almost every thirty minutes. In Hluboká, buses stop at the bus stop below the church, from which Hluboká nad Vltavou is not even 500 metres. On Saturdays and Sundays the bus service is considerably poorer.
There are two train stations in Hluboká nad Vltavou, the first being on the route České Budějovice – Prague, and in the distance of 3 km, and the other on the route České Budějovice – Plzeň, in the distance of 5 km.
Parking
The central paid car park for cars and buses is situated in the town, approx. 500 metres from the chateau.
